Yard Space Saving Patio Hammocks

Hammocks are a symbol of leisure and relaxation and one that the very sight of causes us to long for a vacation. If you happen to have a hammock in your yard you know that you can have a mini-vacation any time you like simply by climbing into your hammock.

If you have a small yard or don’t have two trees growing close enough together this doesn’t mean you can’t have a hammock in your outdoor space. Hammock stands make it possible to set up a hammock almost anywhere.

Patio hammocks are a great alternative to the type you set up on your lawn. Any fair sized patio should have enough room for a hammock, which is great news if your yard is relatively small and you want to use that space for landscaping. Choosing a patio hammock can save you yard space.

Growing up my family had a patio hammock. In a previous house the hammock had hung between two avocado trees in the backyard but in the new place there was no yard, just a pool and patio. The problem was solved by purchasing a hammock stand and we enjoyed countless hours swinging by the pool.

Our hammock back then was a rope one, which wore well and allowed us to get in when we were still wet from swimming. However, it was not the most comfortable when we were not fully clothed. I think a Sunbrella hammock would have been a much more comfortable alternative.

Sunbrella patio hammocks are made of that special material which is perfectly weather resistant. Rain or shine they maintain their vibrant colors without becoming either faded from exposure to sun or moldy from being wet and moist.

Having a cloth patio hammock gives you the perfect place for a relaxing swing. The material is comfortable and breathable and cradles you just right. And it won’t take up too much space either. It is the perfect addition to the patio you love to barbeque on, where you can enjoy the view of your backyard while you relax.

All those years ago when we had a patio hammock I didn’t know what I was missing. This goes to show that rope hammocks can be just as easily enjoyed as a fabric one, so it depends on what a person is looking for.

Choosing from the different types of patio hammocks doesn’t have to be that difficult. Go to a gardening store where you can try out the different kinds. Also search online for the different options that are available. Also, before you make your final decision, be sure to read through reviews of the product you are considering.

If you have a large patio and either a small yard or none at all, a patio hammock can enhance your space and give you a comfortable place to relax without the need of taking up a lot of garden space.
